Torsional Vibration Analysis

IDC's torsional studies help prevent downtime by evaluating the performance of the entire rotating driveline, including couplings, dampers, shafts, and other system components. Our standard turnaround time for an analysis is 10 days from receipt of all information. IDC will assist in correcting any torsional vibration issues.

TorSim is IDC's in-house developed software used for conducting torsional vibration analysis on the rotating components we analyze. We continually revise TorSim based on data acquired from on-site tests.

An IDC Torsional Vibration Analysis (TVA) provides the following:
  • A coupling selection based on installation specific dynamic response
  • Solutions to torsional vibration related package failures
  • A report which meets Marine Classification Society or API requirements
