ANALYSIS / VIRTUAL
PRODUCT VALIDATION

Improving the product usability, quality and reliability through virtual testing.

For many years, mechanical analysis has been our main focus. Our work with on-site testing has given us valuable data, which helps improve our analysis models by comparing them with test results.

We developed our proprietary in-house analysis software (TorSim & AccuPulse) in order to provide quick and accurate solutions for our customers.

We specialize in dynamic simulation of rotating equipment and equipment structures. Our team of engineers and analysts generate hundreds of torsional vibration reports and FEA’s for our clients worldwide every year. we have earned a reputation as a one-stop shop for product design and virtual validation.

COMPUTER AIDED  ENGINEERING (CAE)

At IDC, we specialize in dynamic simulation of rotating equipment and structures, understanding and optimizing their performance. Our refined procedures and cutting-edge methods and software ensure precise and expert analysis, delivering results that meet and exceed client expectations globally.

   Solutions we offer in CAE:

  • Torsional Vibration Analysis (TVA)

  • Pulsation Analysis (API 618)

  • Finite Element Analysis

TORSIONAL VIBRATION ANALYSIS

IDC’s torsional studies help prevent downtime by evaluating the performance of the entire rotating driveline, including couplings, dampers, shafts, and other system components. Our standard turnaround time for an analysis is 10 days from receipt of all information. IDC will assist in correcting any torsional vibration issues.

TorSim is IDC’s in-house developed software used for conducting torsional vibration analysis on the rotating components we analyze. We continually revise TorSim based on data acquired from on-site tests.

Proactive analysis will identify potential failures on components such as couplings, dampers, shafts, and other system components during operation.

An IDC Torsional Vibration Analysis (TVA) provides the following:

  • A coupling selection based on installation specific dynamic response

  • Solutions to torsional vibration related package failures

  • A report which meets Marine Classification Society or API requirements

  • Peace of mind knowing that your system is free of damaging torsional vibrations

FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS

Through many years of experience, IDC has developed procedures and processes for handling multiple types of analyses that improve the quality of equipment and structures. Using state-of-the art FEM-based software packages, IDC undertakes projects from clients all over the world.

Our Expertise:

  • Modal Analysis

  • Static

  • Dynamic Analysis (Time & Frequency)

  • Fatigue

  • Thermo-Mechanical

  • Bolted Joint

PULSATION ANALYSIS

IDC’s Pulsation Analysis evaluates gas pulsations in reciprocating compressor manifolds and piping systems to determine the appropriate design for optimal performance.

Our understanding of the systems and standards required for safe system operation is superior with quick turn-around time.

Why choose IDC for your Pulsation Analysis needs?

  • IDC’s combined experience with compressor systems and finite element analysis allows us to validate your system and provide cost effective solutions faster than the competition.

  • Our analyses meet all API 618 standards.

  • We provide customized support which ensures you get accurate results that meet your requirements and mitigates costly back and forth discussions.
